My name is Cody Ward and I'm an advertising professional specializing in internet marketing. Specifically, I have an expertise in organic search engine optimization and a rich background in paid search engine marketing.

My skill set has developed in the past eight years as I worked to optimize my online business driven by affiliate programs. This online company (hockEdeals.com) has achieved high rankings for the most competitive keywords (hockey equipment) in it's industry.

These achievements have allowed me to expand my education by earning me a position at a top insurance corporation. There I worked with expert search engine marketing agencies and completed many projects that resulted in higher search engine position and overall increase in website exposure.

In addition to my career, I've engaged in freelance projects dealing with small businesses, political campaigns, realtors, and web start-ups. Through these ventures I have developed a great understanding of web programming and graphic design. I'm efficient with design tools such as Adobe Suite and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, SQL, and ASP.

Similar to graphic design skills, I've enjoyed learning about photography and photo development skills, which I've been able to use to sell stock photos online. Although it's more of a hobby in my free time, it does allow me to challenge myself and take clear and useful images.

Lately I've been getting into social media and all of the opportunities that exist in this new and evolving space. I use Twitter, Facebook, and other sites as a way to learn and stay up-to-date with what other power internet users are doing. I regularly read blogs and engage in conversations online that will continue to explore where the web is going in the future.
